Dal khichadi/दाल खिचडी

दाल खिचडी /dal khichadi




Ingredients -

1-  cup pigeon pea
1-  cup Basmati rice/(use any rice)
2/3 -Cloves
2-   onion  Finely chopped
1 -  tablespoon butter
1/2 Hing
 3/5- Black papers
1- T-spoon cumin seeds
Finely chopped corianders leaves
Salt
2 red chillies
2/3 garlic chopped
2 finely chopped tomatoes
3/4 curry leaves
cinnamon

Method -

First wash pigeon pea & rice & drain. 
combine pigeon pea(tur dal) & rice & add some termaric ,1 tsp oil ,salt,1/4  hing & 5 cup of water  & it mix well ..& pressure cook for 3 whistles. 
allow to steam scape before opening the lide.
 keep aside.
 Heat Butter on deep Non Stick Kadhai add cinnamon ,cloves, curry leaves, black paper, red chillies,hing,cumin seeds  & flame for a 5 Second  then add Finely chopped onion,finely chopped tomatoes & garlic & cook on a medium flame then add cooked rice -dal mixture & cooked on a medium flame. 
 last add coriander lives & serve hot.
